Dreams of you

Dreams of you

As I lay sleeping...
I began to dream
you were there
floating above me
I saw you smile
as you reached for me
I went gladly
we flew among the stars
you and I
never touching the ground
As we flew close to the moon
we kissed
the feelings so real
how could this be a dream
I could feel the tenderness
of your sweet lips
the look of desire in your eyes
I could hear a choir of angels
sing your love is lifting me higher
I had the most wonderful
feeling of pure joy
I did not want to ever
wake from my dreams of you

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
