Summer Rain
rain gently kisses
your face
as we run
for cover
under a big willow
shaking the rain
from our hair
we laugh
eyes meeting
you smile
picking a leaf
from my shirt
so sweet you are to me
the ground is dry
and we sit
holding each other
to keep away the chill
I smell the honeysuckle
tucked behind your ear
with a sigh
so content
in this moment
caught in a summer rain
with you
