Winter Retreat
Golden leaves of Autumn glow,
Falling gracefully to the ground,
Being,now,replaced by snow,
Blanketed by the pure white down,
With each fall and eddie of crystal bliss,
I stand in awe of Natures power,
Flakes light upon my face a kiss,
And Winters grace,does I,embower,
Enclosed, am I,in cold’s embrace,
Wind whispers soothing comfort words,
With such a voice in this sweet place,
How can I miss the springtime birds,
