    Many people claim to be your friend, but most are just friendly aquaintances, what is really a true friend of the heart and soul???

    What Is A True Friend

    A true friend is always there for you,
    A true friend is someone you can lean on for a shoulder to cry,
    A true friend is there to lift you up when the going gets tough,
    A true friend is someone you can rely on always,
    A true friend loves you not for what you do but who you are,
    A true friend is not the judge nor the jury but just there to listen.

    A true friend is worth giving all that I have,
    All that I want and all that I need,
    Yet they require nothing but my friendship in return.

    Will you be my true friend?
    Will I ever find my true friend???

    Hello my new friend! Your poem expresses every belief I have about what makes a true friend. It really struck a chord with me because I just finished writing a long letter to someone who at one time was the living example of your words. Somewhere along the way I lost her. That letter was one of the hardest things I've done and when I dropped it in the mail slot it was a very sad time for me. Thanks for sharing and if you are fortunate enough to have a true friend, treasure that friendship and take good care of it. Beautiful job. Julie
