Torment
I never had a choice here
I never had a prayer
To save my unborn baby
Such a burden for me to bear
My life had already been threatened
Should I ever come home that way
So I knew just what I had to do
And I never had a say
A chance to save the baby?
To raise it by my hand?
My baby had the right to live
But I couldn't make a stand
And now I bear the consequence
I bear it hard and wide
The torment of the death I caused
From which I will never be able to hide.
I never had a prayer
To save my unborn baby
Such a burden for me to bear
My life had already been threatened
Should I ever come home that way
So I knew just what I had to do
And I never had a say
A chance to save the baby?
To raise it by my hand?
My baby had the right to live
But I couldn't make a stand
And now I bear the consequence
I bear it hard and wide
The torment of the death I caused
From which I will never be able to hide.
