Thus the sun becomes me
I turn the hands of time, this way and that.I push the scope of reality, bending it for my own,
will.
For that surely I will be torched for eternity in hell.
Ringing, my ears tell me of long ago past deeds.
Where I spread the evil and twisted seeds.
Pressed against my own sour flesh,
Warmth, a heartbeat, the smell of red, so fresh.
The bitter cold, stings my cheek, though I feel nothing
I continue on, forever fearful, that they are coming.
A world of dark, greys, blues, and the glimer of street lights.
For then and now, shrouded, in cloudy nights.
The beast of fear, and seduction, I prey upon the weak,
though still needing their protection.
And the sun breaks,
my skin beginning to peel and flake.
I am done, please cry not at my wake.
I have caused hundreds of years,
covered in tears.
An eternity, as hot as the sun, that baked me within seconds,
Comes now for me, such as life's lessons.
