    Thoughts Aflame

    I pray forgiveness
    for the heedless sins
    I think inside my mind.
    For if you think it
    in your heart...

    You can never put away
    what is finished
    so tonight I ask
    for one more dream,
    a moment to believe
    that what I think
    is really real.

    Let reality be
    the bad nightmare
    superseded by seconds
    (with my thoughts)
    to hold the flame
    that I have lost.

Great poem. I love the way that you capture your emotion and bottle it up in a poem like this. Whenever I try this..., it always comes out wrong. But you inspire me to keep trying.

intriguing..you really make one think to the effect of one solitary previous thought toward the presentation of self.

Thank you. I found your poetry very inspiring...so this means alot coming from you. :o)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
