    Things I hate about you

    Things I hate about you

I hate the way we loved to kiss

I hate how all I do is reminisce

I hate the way you lovingly looked at me

I hate that it’s only you I see

I hate that I will never again feel your touch

I hate that my desire for you meant so much

I hate the thrill I feel when I hold you

I hate the many things I never told you.

I hate seeing how much you were wiling l to share

I hate knowing when you needed me I wasn’t there

I hate the way you felt, custom made just for me

I hate that only you satisfied me intimately

I hate loving to see you walk that walk

I hate longing to hear you talk your talk

I hate you thought I put myself above you

I hate you know how much I love you.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
