what's wrong with our young men?
why do they follow the road to ruin
Can't they see the harm they're doin?
Their homeboys are dead or in jail
do they think with them it'll be alls well?
it's insanity
they  take turns doing your drive bys
while families are crying their eyes dry
you've  now become one of the boys
becaused someones life you've just destroyed
it's insanity
have they seen a  dealer or thug
that haven't ended up in a grave someone else has dug
they place no value on their life or others
and have so many children buried by their  mothers
it's insanily
They are guided by the influence of their violent peers
into taking the lives of innocent victims in their early years
countless children dead and gone
The young thug showing no sense of right or wrong
It's insanity
The hopeless taking the lives of the ones full of hope
for no reason at all or because they're full of dope
They kill each other too, which is just as insane
because of a perceived disrespect from another gang
It' insanity
It must be a social illness and it has to be treated
it's time to stop the innocent lives that are being deleted
could it be the single moms not raising their boys to be men
or the men not fulfilling their roles as God  would intend
it's insanity
They're not responsible but still are fathering kids
not  knowing their father, they wind up doing what their fathers did
leaving a child for someone else to raise
They continue the cycle started before them,  isn't that Crazy
it's insanity
There are plenty of role models why can't they see
why is their no hope for them to be all they can be?
attending the funeral of their friends not knowing that's their fate
if they continue their destructive path, but it's not to late.
They must live in..................sanity!!!!
