    The Circle

    The
    circle
    of anxiety
    turns
    obsession
    in its
    thought
    and
    the thought
    turns
    complusion
    unable
    to disrupt--
    Anxiety,
    once
    set
    into
    motion
    continues
    to circle
    the circle
    of
    obsession
    and
    complusion
    until--

    Exhaustion
    halts
    the commotion
    of emotion.

Well said... What goes around, comes around.. The slightest angst sometimes can start in motion a digression from all feelings of security until at some point this self-induced emotional trauma inevitably saps our strength to fight it and the heart and soul crashes and burns... Great short write...

Thanks! Have you ever read Poe's poem The Bells? (I think that is the title) When you read it out loud you can almost hear the bells. I was thinking about anxiety and wondering if it could be written in such a way that when reading about anxiety one would "feel the anxiety" or feel anxious.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
