Somewhere In-between
Somewhere in between,A fairy tale, and a dream,
A place that no one has visited before,
Takes on a completely different meaning. It's a place of love and hurt, and strife,
A place that accurately depicts
A not so fairy tale life.
It's a place to let go, to dream, and to drown.
A place where memories can knock you right down.
It's somewhere in between,
A fairy tale and a dream.
The place where every thought of you,
Leads to a desperate, "what do I do?"
It's the place where I find compassion,
The place my soul is at ease,
The only place I have ever known
That can bring me to my knees.
What is this place,
caught between a world and a dream?
It's not what it seems.
It's the part of my heart
That occupies that space,
That reminds me ever so gently,
To always have a smile on my face.
It's the part of my heart
That drives my desire
To make a better life
and stay out of hell's fire.
It's the part of my heart that keeps me young,
Even when I am not,
Thanks to the sound of my tounge!
But the wonderful thing
About being between a fairy tale and a dream,
Is that even though it's rough and rocky,
And I might not be able to see the end,
It's all worth it,
Because I have the honor of calling you friend.
