Quietness
The waves lapping at the shoreso soft and gently calling me to them.
The seagulls cry in the distance
seemingly from a different world.
The wind blows softly on my skin,
caressing and chilling all in one.
the smells from the sea entice me,
they invigorate and excite me, there's nothing like it.
The surf crashes powerful, and commanding.
telling all who enter to beware.
the sun setting low above the ocean
beauty like none I've ever seen,
The moon goddess shines her light upon the sea,
lighting it mystically and magically
bringing life and zest into the night.
I walk along the beach and the sand is cool between my toes.
The tidepools are shimmering in the moons afterglow.
They are full of the prettiest pearls I've ever seen,
I bend down to pick one up
it's so soft and its whiteness gleams.
The wind is blowing harder now,
throughout my golden hair.
The smells of the morning are closer
which means the sunrise will soon draw near.
I take one more whiff and close my eyes
as the sun slinks slowly up
I smile a real smile, and sigh contentedly
gather up my things and walk away from the sea.
