Poem Commentary

A friend of mine asked all his friends to describe his interests for a class project of his. So I did in the form of this little poem.

Sir Ronald of Surfwood

He likes to watch anime for fun.
You could probably catch him at a convention.
All those toys you wanted as a kid... Yeah he's got a ton.
Got just about every variety of nerf gun.
When it comes to playing Halo he's number one.
He's got all the spartans and elites on the run.
He plays a lot of games but people he ain't dumb.
He's got 99 problems and a bitch ain't one.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
