    Poem Commentary

This was written by me on 9-9-08 in dedication to Ray Boles (my uncle) that pasted away on 9-8-2008. Rest in Peace Ray.

    Seeds of Life

As we wake in the morning
and the sun shines upon the ground
it's rays give birth to the seeds lying all around
    As flowers and trees
give our eyes a feast to see
as us their existent isn't guaranteed
    Like everything else on earth
each form of life starts from a birth
    germinating in the ground
or in the womb of women abound
    It's life for all
    big and small
for time will come when summer blooms
give way to the color of fall
the tree that looses it leaves
we can still see has beauty indeed
    not knowing that for some
    loom and doom can come
as winter nears tis the time
    that trees and flowers unwind
    and wait like a mime
for the light of a warm spring sun
    to start there life over
in hopes that winter hasn't won

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
