Black and White

Black and White

As the sun goes down and light gives way to night, everything becomes two colors, that is black and white.
In this world nothing is clear,
but everything to each of us is what we hold dear, if you can see anything other than black or white, you are special in what we call night.
As darkness grows, it's anything goes,
as most can't see beyond you and me,
in this day and time it is hard too see who it is we actually see.
As the night comes to an end,
it's if we have to do it all again,
as night gives way to the light of day,
you'll hear some say I see more than black and white, but do they.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
