Fall

Fall

as the sun sets in the western sky
the wind blowing through the trees
which have turning leaves that try and hang on
faithfully to tee
it's rustling sounds quite eerie
to those that see this time as dreary
for no butterflys left to fly
no flowers in bloom
it's no wonder some see it as gloom
for the sun doesn't warn the earth
as this is the time of year
that days grow shorter
nights grow colder
and stars in the night sky seem brighter
but if you open your eyes
you'll see that some trees and bushes
are green and seem to thrive
as we sit inside by the warmth of a fire
fall and winter should not be gloomy
as this is when we get to see snow fall
it covering the ground all in white
making everything seem pure and right
