Salt and Pepper
Salt and pepper
reminds me few
remain uncoupled.
We pass hand to hand,
spices relishing
marital bliss,
yet remain
different colors
As dinner twins,
we devour life
with bitterness
coupled by tears
or sweetened by love.
I burn the meat.
He blisters my tongue.
We groan in lust.
Pleasure stings;
Pain soothes
blending darkness
into light.
Behold a mix
of equal taste
for black and white.
Speckle with ecstasy.
Sweet salt
sprinkles the food.
Pepper grinds
in opposition.
May they both
remain coupled
balancing, blending,
our meal.
