Resentment
Look at me
Do you ever see
What you have done
Go ahead deny what I think
Doesn’t make it any less real
Maybe to you but not to the people
Who had to deal, who had to feel
Who are the ones who stood up straight
Put up a brave face because of your mess
We are the ones, when alone, can’t make the tears fall any less
I WILL NOT REJECT IT I will not reject, I will not lie
About The fact that hatred has not once coursed through our veins when it came you
Because we understood, we accepted, but worst of all we forgave
Because that’s how we were raised
We forgave but we have never forgotten,
WE WILL NEVER FORGET
What we were put through
As children WE UNDERSTOOD when you told us you were not to blame
As we got older we realized someone needs to tell you that the blame does partly fall on you
And it’s time that you know, understand that WE ACCEPTED
That you wanted to live your life but unaware to you that through these years it was engraved in our hearts that
WE ACCEPTED that you will never change and we forgave
The lies, the pain, and WE FORGAVE ourselves
Because despite the tears, the years to us you would forever remain dear
IT’S NOT HATRED THAT WE FEEL so don’t ever think that
It’s a calm anger at what you’ve done but NO
Not at what you’ll do
Because we know what YOUR GOING TO DO, what you’re going to say
And we will forgive and WE WILL CONTINUE TO FORGIVE
Long after we HAVE NO CHOICE because we are staring at your grave
With tears coming down our face, but not the ones that you never seen
NOT THE ONES YOU SHOULD HAVE SAW
NO it is not hatred that we have tried countless times to reveal to you
Before it get’s too late, before it’s you we can no longer alter how we see
The feeling coursing through my blood has gotten so strong
When it comes to you…
