    Planting Belladonna In The Moonlight

I planted Belladonna in the moonlight
On what was a beautiful starlight night
    Heard an owl gently coo
as a blackbird flew down to watch what I was doing
Breezes gently blowing on this warm summer's night
even the windchime twinkled once or twice.
    Feeling, digging, singing...
Surely the Goddess will bless this plant with light-
to grow healthy strong and right.

wow. that was beauty. i wish i could stop right there because anything else said would be not enough anyway but the flow was wonderfully stated. i saw so many dramatic pauses and wonderful word plays in this poem even though its content was short. i loved it. great job

Blessed be. This was a beautiful poem and ode to our Mother earth. Bravo and going right to my favorites. Thank you for sharing this with us here it is quite beautiful in a simplistic lovely, flowing way. A ten from me.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
