Johnathon

I wished you could have been here to see
the comming of the fall and winter
To see the beautiful colors of the autumn leaves,
to have watched them
as the wind blows them off the trees,
Leaving the trees bare,
Then winter comes-
I wished that you were here.

I have suffered loss of a loved one. Your words really spoke to me. I can relate. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful sentiment to a distant loved one. Again to say soo very much in so few words isn't an easy accomplishment, but you have once again done just that. Wonderful. I enjoyed this piece very much and again thanks for posting and sharing with us here at OP. Keep it up

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
