natures gift

A buzzing, humming sound I heard

I knew not what it was

What had brought this sound to me

what had brought this buzz

I peeked out through the window pane

to solve this mystery

Mother nature sent a gift

it must have been for me

For at that very moment

tears came to my eyes

A hummingbird was close at hand

humming lullaby's

Not the ones I had learned

all through my sheltered past

But the songs were natures gift

Destined sure to last
