Motherhood
If I answer not to your call,
Do not be alarmed.
For busy is a mother expected to be,
With children in her arms
All are mothers who have born life,
Including those who have only carried it within.
And do not forget those who have stepped up,
To aid the the young who are not their kin.
Respect all mothers for you know not their plight,
Nor the knowlege they connot forget.
Everyday we pour our love into another,
Knowing that one day they will leave the nest.
That knowlege is a two edged blade.
For by them we shall always be defined.
But no matter who they become in this world,
In my heart they will always be mine.
