Moon Blues
I have the blues, moon.
I have the bare tree blues.
Where is the sun?
Where did the sun go?
Tell me, where is the sun?
Where did the sun go?
The sun barely rises
halfway up in the sky.
In the peak of the day
the sun is so low,
the days are so short.
I have the blues, moon.
I have the bare tree blues.
Where is the sun?
Where did the sun go?
Send the clouds away.
Send the blowing wind away.
Freezing rain, sleet, and snow
don't come again, but go.
You're too cold.
Winter longer than summer,
night longer than day.
I have the blues moon.
I have the bare tree blues.
