LIVE TONIGHT .. FROM THE BBC
A two track tape player was my friendWhen i was a teen
The first songs i'd played
Blackbird .. Rocky Raccoon
Great music .. great lyrics
I'd liked the Beatles from the beginning
The moptopped Fab Four from Liverpool
Formed in the sixties
They'd flown in from England
Took the United States by storm
Females fainted .. standing
The crowd shoved and pushed
Police forced everyone to Get Back
An acquaintance .. Michelle .. was near
I Saw Her Standing There .. Help, she'd cried
Whilst waving her fashionable, lace panties
At John, Paul, Ringo, and George
I'd been humming I Want To Hold Your Hand
Then said to her .. come on baby
You Can Drive My Car
She'd driven us The Long And Winding Road
To the ocean to see the Yellow Submarine
All You Need Is Love blared from the radio
Driving back we'd listened to Day Tripper
A Hard Day's Night .. Hey Jude .. Let It Be
Pulled into my driveway on Penny Lane
We'd hummed Strawberry Fields Forever
I'd asked her in .. she'd decided instead
To search for Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
Hours later a full moon appeared
She Came Through The Bathroom Window
Singing loudly .. Come Together
The clock struck twelve
My television rattled
Live tonight .. from the BBC
