Little South African Girl
Bright-eyed South African girl, your skin the color or rich earth ready for planting. Eyes of wonder Eyes of sorrow Eyes the color of chocolate chips. The world may negate you but, me, I celebrate you. Standing strong and beauty so sweet. You are my little South African girl You are mine for keeps. I look into the deepness of your soul And you with sun-burnt skin, you are a gift wrapped ready to be sent. Hands folded, silent like a soft thunderstorm You wait for a world where your eyes speak words and I know you are precious and rare like pearls. Little South-African girl, I am you and you are me. I hold your hand in my dreams and find those eyes staring at me. Little South-African girl I will come there, and bring you home with me.Little South African Girl
