I am My Own Woman
I am not a woman to be messed withyou cannot control who I am or what I am.
I have a voice all my own, and I intend to use it
when injustice, unfairness, povety and homelessness exists.
I will not follow the crowd because they believe the
status quo knows what's best.
As for me, never will I kiss a...
I am uniquely individualized to make no compromises
in a society that prizes the priviliged with corruption and gifts
they did not earn.
Did it ever trickle down to US"
Did we receive our fair share?
I bet it's "no."
I am a woman, strong, powerful,
independent, standing alone on my own,
making it in spite of the obstacles that I have to hurdle.
I am a woman who refuses to die young
from the stress of the living. I am woman
who will voice her needs, concerns and opinions.
Just because other women have been conditioned
to follow the lead
That is not who I am.
I am a woman indeed.
