LIFE
Life....
Not always will you have your milk and honey.
Nor have that glass of sweet wine.
Some will be just plain coffee or tea or water.
Nor will the sun rise at dawn.
or the moon and stars shine thy path.
Nor will the smooth breeze cool your soft skin.
Nor the rains rain to water thy flowery gardens
Some, the sun will scotch thy skin to darken.
burn thy flowery seedlings to wilt.
Nor the grounds be firm for a sure footing.
Nor be a stretched hand when thee slips.
Some slips be a lesson to see how far down be.
While the shaky grounds to tell thee.
add more rocks and mortar.
Nor will the morning humming bird chip.
Nor fresh scents of the morning dew wake thee.
Some cries and wealing of yester sorrow and pain.
hall knock on thy door and windows.
Nor be there hugs and kisses at the entrances.
failure and disappointments are always lurking.
Not always life’s lessons easier nor simpler.
Nor are they hard, nor difficult.
For what’s then the point of struggling to live.
