Just let me be
So tired I can only cry
but only when I’m alone
too hard to explain all the reasons why
And he who should understand
doesn’t…
…but you
do.
My life has been a tough journey
lots of tears and laughter
one burden at a time
Now multiple boulders oppress me
making it hard to see the sun
From where I stand
only darkness and lightning are visible
In my heart I know the beautiful sunlight is
out there
but right now all I want to do
is to be left alone
just let me be
for a little while
stop all your demands
and just love me
even though I can’t love back
right now
And my tears keep flowing
drowning my thoughts
looking for peace.
