Inspiration from Edgar Lee Master’s

My life was an endless pool of drama, and

Nothingness. My tears always falling

And my heart always breaking.

I wanted all life to end.

When I met you,

My dear Edward Cullen

You made me want an eternity.

I longed for your love.

You finally gave me the kiss of death

My eternal bite that changed me forever.

After that one perfect bite

I changed and longed

To have my friend near my side.

My dear Jodi I must change you

And you’re beloved Joe so we can be

Friends, forever. My human life ended.

My eternal life began.

This is my goodbye

To the one’s I leave behind.

My Edward, My Jodi and her Joe,

Together forever, no worries.

My twenty years here on this earth as human,

Are ending, now my birth as a vampire

Have begun….

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
