I Don’t Need A Lot Of Money

I don’t need a lot of money
I just want you to stay
I don’t need a lot of money
I just want to here you say
That we don’t need a lot of money
And, we’re better off this way
I don’t need a lot of money
I just want you to stay
Money, is worse than any drug
With just a little taste,
You lose track of just about everything,
Except her pretty face
Some days, I just want to drink,
Until I forget her name
But, I’m closer to forgetting, my own
Quit controlling my mind
You do it, all the time
Your controlling my mind
Every time I see your face
I lose all control, I have to chase
But, I don’t need a lot of money
I just want to here you say
That we don’t need a lot of money
And, we’re better off this way
And If I had a lot of money
Believe, what I say is true
If I had a lot of money
I’d give it all, to you
I don’t need a lot of money
I just want you to stay
I don’t need a lot of money
I just want to here you say
That we don’t need a lot of money
And, we’re better off this way
I don’t need a lot of money
I just want you to stay

Money, is worse than any drug
With just a little taste,
You lose track of just about everything,
Except her pretty face
Some days, I just want to drink,
Until I forget her name
But, I’m closer to forgetting, my own

Quit controlling my mind
You do it, all the time
Your controlling my mind
Every time I see your face
I lose all control, I have to chase

But, I don’t need a lot of money
I just want to here you say
That we don’t need a lot of money
And, we’re better off this way
And If I had a lot of money
Believe, what I say is true
If I had a lot of money
I’d give it all, to you

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
