Home Coming
Your happy heart made you cheerful, though you endured a lot of pain.
As we drove out from the hospital,
where you received
His grace like rain.
And taking in the scenery and looking at things you'd missed,
You looked at all his greenery and began a prayer list.
While holding my hand and thanking God for all the answered prayer.
You shared your heart of a second chance,
From a cancer that's very rare.
But miracles still happen,
as it happened to you for sure.
Now yours is the kingdom of heaven,
Though your spirit may be poor.
As clarity came into mind,
and I realized what our purpose is.
To save as many souls,
The way the Lord had done with His.
So as we got back home,
to see Korina again,
You warmly embraced your daughter,
with arms that were wide open.
Just in time to celebrate Korina turning three,
Our Father brought us home to throw her a very big party.
From all things that have happened,
From that time now to this,
Has culminated into honoring God, with this a birthday wish.
To honor God for his gift of life and the promises that he did tell.
We decided to dedicate our daughter hoping life would treat her well.
As you go through chemo at Kaiser,
I know that you will thrive
For the Lord knows the plans he has for you,
being alive at thirty-five.
