Her Glance
Truth becomes a lie as you walk past her
Opening the past through vacations once after
Not realizing skill though she beckons her smile
Understanding the reason you were there once admired
She steps closer in sight as your heart strengthens your core
Those memories once had have gone past you before
Those memories awaken emotions creeping through somber
Can't handle the pain after all once was laughter
The glimpse in her eye as I wonder what for
Wonder why she can't stray from my vision once more
Why those flood of emotions can’t be pushed back with admission
All those memories gone as she holds another’s skin as she walks
All those smiles have drowned in my soul with distraught
Stop looking at me as you did with such glee
It was ok, but not now anymore it is feared
We had loved, we have fought
We had passionate fun
The difference in distance as your glance has forgot
Though you have found yours, I still wait for another
I am happy for you and your forgetful new lover
I just bare those memories which I thought could restrain
No more glances appear as a tear falls out of pain
