American Dream
My head trembles and waits like a doorbell less rung
I sit down and restrain my words coming out of my Tung
The worrisome nights I lay onto my bed
The coolness of air that makes my skin feel despair
I cannot wonder why or who can make such a change
It is me and my kin who I live for each day
Neither money nor toys can make each day as it was
Before this job which was mine has been taken from us
Its course just went through as the bees are to honey
The time has just come which makes up what was coming
No questions or answers, but a silence between
No facial experience, but a sorrow less grin
Can it be that which is really happening now
All the hourly days, which feels like waves with no sound
I can't let this make me nor break me like glass
I am stronger for me and my family’s crest
Be no boundary to far or a deepness to thick
Be no words of discouragement answered to quick
I am what I am through my childish smile
A person living in the United States since a child
Through the lollipop slurps while getting my haircut
To the far expansive acres that make up all that I'm off
The memories are light which makes me feel like I should
Can never be taken, such as treasures forgotten through books
I am the expansive transition through life
The jobless individual who is waiting for sight
I am a piece of myself reflected to you
The American dream which has altered since youth
Be aware of yourself and your loved ones as well
Be aware of your health and your kindness through care
Be true to your perception that life holds to you
Be gentle through strides which may help just a few
Be always the way you were as a child
A carefree soul through expression and stride
