And I thought, Everyone has the right to try to make a home; even a spider. Especially a spider who spins her intricate web which binds her intimately to the sacred Circle of Life. She uses what she takes and replaces it with something usable. She has never waged a war. She has never known hatred. She has never felt greed. She does not hunger for power. She simply builds her beautiful web on the Path of Least Resistance and when the Chi passes she moves along, leaving a gift that will be used in bird’s nests. And I was humbled by this humble spider because... She is not wasteful. She has never broken the sky. She has never polluted the earth. She has never devastated the ocean. She does not need to be bigger than she is. She knows who she is and her place in the grander scheme of things. She is a spider. Her place is here. And I felt ashamed that I could ever have thought, even fleetingly, that I had any sort of right to sweep away that web. What can I say? I’m only… human. ############################################################################################## Lorian. I have commented on this beautiful "free-stylistic" poetic statement of yours, i admire it didactic element, as well as it simple and convincingly sympathetic clarity.. |

RE: Can Poetry Save the Earth? She Cries In Painwell darn, it is supposed to be in the shape of a tear, but its not working here in the forums........but you can see it how it was meant on my page, please go check it out..........thanks love asha She Cries In Pain Mother Earth Is Screaming. Is anybody listening? Tears are flowing with stains Flooding down the Mountains Through Streams & Rivers, past Lakes To Valleys below. All the way, She Aches To Her Majestic Oceans, Her tears are forever flowing As she cries, all attempts futile, to wash grime away, knowing What man has thrown out, his filthy trash, She cannot wash away Clopping Her on the head, blacken Her eyes, break limbs, every day Bruising Her precious delicate giving body, that man thinks is elastic Disposing his trash, that never rots, evil thing he created, called plastic Mother is completely unable to digest, and he knows She cannot stretch Her womb to hold anymore. She is sick, in pain, with what man did etch From this Evil thing he has forced down Her throat, when he thinks he's No use for it anymore. Just toss it out, into Her rivers and streams It all goes, till it reaches Her Mighty Oceans blue, where it flows Round and round inside Her belly, with no end in sight, it goes Never digest, evil plastic churning in Her womb, unclaimed She cries to show us how, we should be ashamed Forever, and ever, Forever More, In Pain, She Cries Our Mother Is Pissed.....Watch Out Everyone...lol Written by Asha 2010© Accepted the challenge from poet friend & mentor WooorrrrrrdddddSSSSlllllliiiiiinnnnnggggeeeerrrr!!! Here is your reply dear friend!!! Is anybody else listening!!! Last edited by ApaqRasgirl 08-27-2010 at 11:53:43 PM |
