Poem Commentary

I wrote this a couple nights ago. Let me know what you think.

Faceless

A shadow, hollow and faceless, locked deep within the precinct of a broken spirit, so empty, yet filled with memories and haunted by everlasting scars of the past, acting as a mirror which reflects what is truly locked deep inside its heart. Blood viciously flows through blackened veins, like the flow of a river, and it never ends. Existence slowly fades, time passes, everything changes. Whispers are heard so calmly throughout the air, calmer than the sounds of the trees rustling in the wind, birds silently singing amongst themselves, even the soothing sounds of a stream slowly pass by.  Completely forgotten, trapped in the dark abyss of its being, alone, forever sealed in silence. Void, with no haven allowed to call home, forever faceless, desperate for release from captivity. Concealing everything inside, it is soon overwhelmed by visions of the past, and consumed by darkness within the soul. Moments pass, passions arouse, the sun rises upon a dark sky. Crossing the morning light, the warmness of the sun's flame comforts the soul, awakening a ghost of what true existence really means, providing an eternal sleep for a shadow, forever hollow and faceless, eternally trapped inside of the mirror of its spirit, creating a fate far worse than Hell.
