Court Sport
No mercy, confronted by a blind sighted fate
My freedom ends at the hands of a tainted judge
A great sum, his seat at this courts' bench, he paid
Off to prison I am sent, even though I am innocent!
Paid off amply for his rulings of rights and wrongs
Filthy lies strewn about, not one truth was told
My court-appointed lawyer beaten by the throngs
Justice, a mockery, a satire for a jester to behold!
Time with the Good Book in this stinkin' cell o' mine
A fallacy in the courtroom, accounts of reality so untrue
I'm payin' the price, like Jesus did, for someone else's crime
While the real thief, alive and free, probably will continue!
No one's left to listen now, as I abandon my desperate plea
This case is considered closed, no further hope in appeals
Time moves slow today, but tomorrow may hold a valuable key
Innocent, I am, Lord knows, I pray my family quickly heals!
