Cats, Dogs, Birds and Fishes
I have so many animals so I am told
They are all so different from their heads to their toes
I have young to very old
Yet each one is different in their ways I know
I have old Rebel my dog who has been around a time or two
I guess now his age would be seventy-two I really do not have a clue
Then theirs Luke Timber my dogs younger then six
Then theirs Hillary who the female witch
As we go down the line my cats the feline kind
Ditzwade is my older one calico female she my Hun
Then theirs Midnight & Bacster big tomcats
One black and the other Siamese but they want wear hats
As we move down the line of my cats feline
Did I mention about my two other one
Sunshine and Latasha who are under five years old
Boy did I get a surprise when kitten they did show
You know they forgot to take the pill
Some tomcat got them against their will
Because my tomcats couldn’t do the job
They went out and found another Bob
Now on down the line I go
With birds two cocktail you know
Kayla and Sky are their names
They have me only to blame
My cats want stay off the cage
And my bird she wanted lay
No matter how much I say
They just look at me in a funny way
Oh, do not worry my fellow poets
This has been going for quite sometime
They do not bother the birds as you think
You will find them curled up in a ball sound a sleep
Boy did I make a mistake with Kayla’s name
For he’s a boy instead of a girl to my shame
Now to the fishes on we go
One is so big he could eat your toe
They swim around play and have fun
They are always up and down and on the run
Charlie my biggest fish had a scare
My cat missy decided to jump in there
I wish I could write more of fun things I see
Of my animals and the happiness, they give me
Yes, I know this is long to read
Nevertheless, theirs a life time of history yes indeed
But just so you will know
It is not all easy for me to go
As I make my way to bed
They all have taken my place instead
