blooming

I consider myself a beautiful rose.
i remain closed until it is time
but first i must grow to my full potential
me being ready to bloom is essential
so with every obstacle i will grow
along with every seed i sow
eventually i will bloom
into this beautiful flower
n people will look and stare
n wonder how i reached my goals
but only i will know

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
