You Gotta Love Lil Girls
You gotta love little girls
They’ll steal your heart
And mold your mind
But from you they never part
They’ll always be small
No matter how tall they may grow
They’ll always be a princess even
When they become someone’s queen
In a crowded room you’ll only see her
The first and last dance
Will be held for you
You’ll lay down your life
To assure that they’re safe
And cry like a baby
When one day they marry
Like ice you become though
You melt in their heat
You try to stand strong but
You know that you’re beat
The love they create in the toughest of men
Is more than you’ll ever know
Unless you’re granted the greatest of pleasures,
Simply to be allowed in their glow.
They can be aloof to your gestures
Of kindness and such
Allowing no measure of kind
But twist you ‘round a finger
With the simple gift of a grin
When it comes to the teaching of life’s
Little things
The stuff all ladies must know
It’s nothing a man should try to
Pursue, a place we dare not to go
Best left to the hierarchy of feminine rule
Be passed from mother to young
The mysteries there are not to be shared
With those of the masculine gene
But that which they learn will soon
Be revealed to those they choose
To allure
And those poor but lucky few
That are chosen to be
Will soon learn that mystery
Has a price, never is it free
But the cost has it’s worth
And never will it be lost
But gain in value for the love that it brings
The blessings that it bears
Always to be your cause for concern
Always to bring new lessons to learn
Never a dull moment
Always a full heart
Never to rest when they’re away from home
Worrying forever if they’re being
Treated right
Can’t trust the boys they went out
With tonight
You gotta love little girls
And as you lay them down to sleep
And pray to the Lord for their souls
To keep
You treasure the sight of that
Beautiful girl the Lord
Sent to earth to stir your heart
And give her your best and all
That you have, love, praise, and pain
For the day will soon come
When you give her away
Reluctantly but joyfully you walk
With her hand
And place her into the heart of
Her man.
Treasure each moment, hour and day
That the little girl in your life
Is where you can say, “she’s mine for
A little while, thank you Lord,
And protect her when my back is turned
For it is your gift to me
That I get to see the life of
Such as these,
You gotta love little girls
They’ll steal your heart, no,
They can’t steal what you gladly give away.
