i remember growing up
i didnt have you
i didnt have a mom
i only had a grandma
who took the place of my mom
why did you let her take your place
i was so young and needed a mother to love me
when i grew older and had more friends
they would ask where my mom was
when i did sports or went to camps
and we had  parents meetings
you were not there
people asked why
i didnt know why
so i said i dont know
but now i know
that drugs were more important
than your own daughters
you would rather stick the needle in your vein than
see your daughter walk for the first time
or see your daughter ride her first bike
how could you bo so heartless
not to care where your daughters were
or if you ever seen them again
how could you just leave
when we needed you most
you were not there
now when we need you
your still not here
