Even after the hurt you put me through,
I was so afraid every time that you would leave,
I realize I have been fighting for a relationship I will not achieve,
Again like the times past you cheated on me,
However, I knew you couldn't make a new relationship be,
She will gone in a short while,
When she sees what's behind that smile,

A heart I wanted to heal,
Who knows if I will be strong enough to let you go,
One thing is certain though,
I feel nothing,
When I should feel something,
Maybe I will go back,
Knowing now your attack,
Their is safety in knowing someone so well,
The lies aren't so easy to sell,
To lazy to waste my time finding another,
When I already know you so well as a lover,
People wonder why women stay with men who cheat,
Why they let themselves continue on in their defeat,
For me it is easier and safer to be with someone you can trust,
I know you will lust,
I can depend on you to be you,
I can predict what you will do,
I don't have to worry about getting to know someone new,
We can continue on in this endless game,
Relying on the cycle being the same.
