Tree of Life
T’was flowers, yellow
when young, hollow
matured, brown
fell over ground
sprouted, reborn
Stretches up azure dome
unreachable frond
tall, debonair
willows in air
sways n’ dance
Clusters, almond shape
edible white meat
sweet water abound
quenches thirst around
Revives strength after
Sour wine to suck
when left for days a duct
acetate in taste
distorted your face
like singing the blues
sad, distress
no mistress
in a lonely island
coco in abundance
no hunger, no thirst
When none else appear
needs to survive a tear
here’s coco tree
saves you to free
your wretched heart
