The original poem of seasons
Mist sneaks in to kiss the freshly cut grass
Chasing away the languid warm summer air
A wind kicks up it's dainty soft skirt as
It tussles and tugs our perfect coifed hair
First frost surprises, upon its coming today
As the leaves above abandon their place
Falling benignly beneath branches this way
Falls palate now the ground seems to grace
Summer's sweet corn steals one last bow
Drizzling tears of the heavens soon appear
Birds cackle, scream as southern wings plow
From the crisp air briskly looming here
Slowly we trudge towards hibernation's den
Trees paint a swash on a gray washed out sky
Days shadows now longer, come quicker, then
Wisps of smoke waft from chimneys on high
I stroll thru the leaves, thicker each day
With autumn as a companion that's been kind
Remembering summer days with bliss played
And what winter's abrupt coming has in mind
