The Devil and His Muse
She comes, she goes; haunting, in a warm glow.
She whispers to me, to appease my heavy sight.
Why do words dance freely from such lifeless eyes?
I've never heard such a haunting melody.
She pours lies into my mind,
truths I cannot claim as mine.
The knowledge of the tree
sealed in an apple, just for me.
She's everything I could never be.
I'm everything she could never leave.
Under the pale moonlight,
my hunger is fulfilled with the seducing ease
dripping from her silver lips.
She drains out my lungs with the vile of her voice.
I'm found lost in her stare,
those eyes tear me apart.
Do I speak in volumes?
I cant hear myself tonight.
Its all for her.
Simply, she is everything.
Look deep,
and see yourself within her.
