Take a Look While You Can

This poem below shows how I feel inside but the way I express it by hiding my feelings and bottling them up so I can keep everybody else happy and content.

Take a look while you can
Because I'm just empty space,
And one day I will disapear
For someone else to replace.

Take a look while you can
Because my mask is still on tight
But one day I'll get tired of faking
And learn that faking is not right.

Take a look while you can
Because I seem in the best of moods.
But one day I'll become tired of hiding
And show my pain and all my wounds.

Take a look while you can
Because right now you think I'm fine,
But one day I'll just boil over
And show that my sanity has crossed the line. </3

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
