Sometimes it's too late.
I didn't know you would slip awayWithout a sound
Deep in slumber on your last day,
You seemed so peaceful just laying there
No one wanting to disturb you
All of us thought you'd be up soon we all care,
but no one knew that the breath you took before sleep
would be your last
We try to shake you but you were deep,
deep in slumber no awakening
ice cold and discolored
Now we know it was your ending,
the closing of your book
As the news set it
We all took a look,
We looked back at the past
and All your memories
They will last,
We all knew it too
that we will see you in heaven
and when we do,
We will all tell you how much we love you.
