SnapShots (First Reel)

We never took pictures

but a hundred memories of you cloud my mind

snapshot one:

you and I walking on the beach laughing, loving

snapshot two:

being in the crook of your arm..with me sniffing you...i loved your pheromones!

snapshot three:

Hope Gardens. looking at birds and animals and you taking my hand and looking down from great heights you humming...

'Here Comes the Bride"

snapshot four:

you staring across a room at me with a knowing smile

snapshot five;

you making me comfortable before you took the only picture we ever took

snapshot six:

you taking care of me when I was sick

snapshot seven:

you seeing me in my sexy purple dress

snapshot eight:

Christmas morning.....candles aglow... breakfast in bed

snapshot nine:

the many times i turned to you at 1 o' clock in the morning

snapshot ten:

you washing my itty bitty underwear in your hands......man enough to take them off..man enough to help me wash...priceless

snapshot eleven:

21 st birthday.....when you carved your love in wood.....me stunned!

snapshot twelve:

catching you watching me sleep

snapshot thirteen:

kissing me goodbye....forehead, cheeks, nose-rub, kiss on the lips....maybe a slap on the ass...

snapshot fourteen:

both of us in the kitchen....cooking

snapshot fifteen:

you holding me as I cried.....telling 'us' goodbye.....

The ending gave me chills and broke my heart a little. I love the simple feeling of reality throughout this, using everyday moments but making them monumental. Nicely done ~ 10

the snap shots are vivid and I can see you in all of them - sadly in the last picture - all good things must come to an end

love that you love it Rhymer!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
