See Me
Your eyes tell me everything, painfully staring.
Into mine like they were wells,
deep down in them the pain has swelled.
I've seen alot for I am yet small,
listening to people thinking they know it all.
You haven't seen what I have that day,
you didn't hear what I had to say.
The anger in my heart,
when I knew we were to part.
Knowing, tasting, and smelling this fear,
these salty, steady, flowing tears.
Know one knows what I seen,
know will ever know what I mean.
In my eyes I have seen the pain,
losing someone close again and again.
Without words of comfort and words to sooth,
I've stopped listening to those talking smooth.
I'm not playing these games lovers try to play,
I'm not listeing to those words they try to say.
Lie to my face then to my back,
but know that I have what they all lack.
A heart full of love and they did not see,
what my past had in store for me.
Try to tell me I am wrong,
try to tell me I'm not strong.
Try to say I can't and wont,
Try, try again and then just don't.
You can't make me back down,
I will stand strong on my grounds.
Taller than you and your words you've said,
taller than all the things people have said.
You think you know me,
you think you see.
But you haven't seen anything...
