Scenery in Mind is not Greenery
I have never scored victory
I have never created History
My life receives only injury
I have often felt only sorry
I know not what is glory
So I am a stranger to merry
I am a chum of deep worry
But living is now necessary
My life I must somehow carry
Though often I feel weary
My sorrow I deeply bury
And to do my duty I hurry
Fate attacks me with fury
But, I believe in God- the Jury
Toward myself I feel angry
As with myself I often disagree
For fame once I was hungry
Especially through poetry
Poems are born in my brain-tree
To express my mind I feel free
So far no favorable decree
I get thoughts from a kind fairy
Here at last ends my poetic story.
