    Ride or Die

Loving you is like loving blind
    You never see the end
    When you are always behind
But the heart takes chances anyway
And I've shed so many tears
    A prisoner to lonely fears
I just couldn't find a way to make you stay
    I couldn't hurt no more
I guess this evened the score
But somehow I think we both lost
And if this pain ever ends
    Maybe then we'll be friends
if we never have to look at what it cost
But with all my feelings inside
    I still chose to ride
Even though death it just becomes me
And when all hope is gone
How will I ever carry on?
With no one left to love me
So to go on missing you, i am no longer true
One last tear drop escapes my eye
Because with out your sweet smile
    Life just isn't worthwhile
    When there's no choice left
    To Ride or Die

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
